Time changes everything, even you and I have changed

宅女の日记
Maybe some people just aren't meant to be in our lives forever
Maybe some people are just passing through.
It's like some people just come through our lives to bring us something:
a gift, a blessing, a lesson we need to learn, and that's why they're here. . .
You'll have that gift forever
Sometimes I just have to say what's in my heart,
not what I think

“My Story, My Moments”
Quote of the day
Sunday, October 16, 2011 || 9:58 PM

I've made mistakes in my life.
I've let people take advantage of me,
and I accepted way less than I deserve.
But, I've learned from my bad choices and even though there are some things I can never get back and people who will never be sorry.
I'll know better next time and I won't settle for anything less than I deserve.

Have not updated here for quite some time, was too tired, or  rather lazy to type out my thoughts here recently.

I got the urge to blog this down, an old school friend of mine got married recently! We used to hang out together in our teens days and he used to be my chat buddy in secondary school. Is only until he went to China to venture and our contact became lesser.

Now he was back....for his big day! The wedding is a small gathering of his close friends and family. The dinner was held at Marina Bay Sands and being the mountain tortoise, it was also my first visit to MBS.

Acting like a tourist, I was happily snapping pictures away of the awesome night view

It was really a small dinner that compromise of 5 tables,  with close friends and families! Though not those usual ones that I've attended, I find that for such small dinner, it actually got the couple to spend more quality time with your close friends and kins. I feel that was  heart warming compared to those usual wedding where friends just appeared, eat and left and they did not get to interact much with the couple.

This dinner got me to meetup with my old friends in secondary school, which we were so closed during school days. I really miss those days!!! Now that we have grow up, everyone have their own life to lead and naturally our meetup are lesser compare to the good old days! Therefore whenever we meet up, we will make sure that we will shoot tons of photos!

Trying to get the couple drunk!

In fact, this wedding is the most interesting wedding that I've ever attended! The couple was so drunk before the dinner ends and in fact the bride got KO first!!! They were kinda dead drunk till the extend that the bride felt asleep and the groom can't even walk!!! Friends around have to support them just in case they fell off from their chairs!!!

The most hilarious was some relatives actually got a wheelchair and suggest to wheel the bride back to their room. The groom, spend his last effort to carry her to the chair and wheeled her back!

We can't stop laughing including the groom relatives. The groom mum actually announced that the couple were drunk and and instead of the couple will bid farewell to the friends and relatives after the dinner, all the aunties will do the job!

After the dinner, as usual, we went out of some cam-whoring!

After the dinner, I actually found some old photos that we took during our school days! The memories just flashed back and everything seems to be yesterday. How i miss the good old days! ^_^

That's all folks! Will update soon!

After my "Quarantine" at home for so many days, finally today I manage to slip out for a breather.

Went to meet the gals for dinner at Sushi Express in City Link, the food was so-so only and the variety was not much. If not because the price is cheap, I guessed I will not visit there again.

We proceed to Esplanade after dinner as recently I got to know that Max Brenner Chocolate Bar is actually in Singapore, I think I'm a "mountain tortoise" as apparently it was there for quite some time...

I've ordered a chocolate souffle, with disappointment, the souffle here was much smaller compare to the one I had in Aussie

SG Version

Aussie Version

See the difference? The scope of ice cream is much more generous and most importantly, the melting chocolate inside the souffle is much richer than the ones here

Of course, the outlet is here is also smaller. Aussie outlets are generally bigger and they have a retail section where you can purchase their chocolates in nice pretty gift boxes

Nice pretty boxes

How I miss of having a nice hot chocolate in the cold weather, the feeling is sooooooo warm. I remembered it was a cold raining afternoon and I was chilling out at this cafe with a hot chocolate while waiting for the rain to stop....I miss the days there!!!! I want to go back to Gold Coast!!!!

I'm missing my beach cum resort holidays so much that I decided to develop the photos of the beautiful beaches that I've been so far.

Though I ain't a sea-sport or outdoor person but I really love the sea and the sound of waves....It just somehow calm my mind and reset everything for a moment...

home-cation
Tuesday, September 6, 2011 || 5:04 PM

Been staying at home since last Saturday as my mum had an op. I'm in charge of the household matters and this let me experienced the duties of a stay-home mum. From waking up early in the morning so that you can buy the freshest meat and back for the cooking and cleaning of house, and not forgetting the laundry. It was so damn tired! I cant imagine if this is my full time job, I wondered can I survive for long.

Right now I just feel like hitting the beach, having a nice coconut and enjoying the sound of waves.....

Koh Samui, Jan 2010

I've also noticed that if you are staying at home too long, I felt like I've aged a bit..with the messy hair and the clothes that I'm wearing at home, I can't helped but feel like I'm some auntie...Gosh, I think I need to return back to my normal self soon otherwise I can't imagine what will I become.

Recently I've met with Miss D for dinner, is been sometimes that I did not met her as she was busily taking care of her new born baby. To my surprise, she was actually handling her divorce.

I really got a shock that she made this decision eventually even though I knew that she had some problems with her husband.I thought the baby would actually made things work out, but sadly, it was vice-versa.

I feel so upset when I got to know this, I mean in general for divorce cases....I know is normal now at this era. But why? If you can't fulfilled that vow you made, why made that vow?

Being together and stick with each other through think and thin is NEVER EVER been easy, but is depends how you handle it, giving each other support, communicate, understanding and never take each other for granted. Also to keep that spark going, by doing things together and giving each other small little surprises.....

If in normal days when you are attached and not married, and if you cant even sustain that  before marriage, do you really think that you can really do that when you are married?

I don't know will I have a happy marriage in future, with so many cases that I've met and past experiences, it kinda create a hurdle for me and I'm really afraid that I will become another victim.

My Anniversary in 2011

Since I did not go overseas this year, so this year I've gathered a few fellow mates for a day of Sing, Sang Sung!

But before I went to the day of celebrations, I went to gave my vote to the Mr Tan of my choice...It was raining that day and I'm in my heels, so while walking tall and pretty that day....I had the most fugging ugly fall -_______________-"

And worst of any places but at the entrance of the Community Center. Got scratches on my left leg and sprained my ankle on the right. However Im still brave enough to wear my heels and out I go! What a day to start >.<

Anyway that aside, I've reserve a room @ nex PartyWorld for our sing sang sung session!

The fellow mates have surprised me a birthday cake with so many candles and I was told that it was sparkling candles but with no sparks. By the way, I AINT that old.....

SURPRISE!!!! Cher is a happy gal!
So I make a wish...make a wish....

and blew the candles
and blew.....
Argh!!!!! The flame for the last candle just don't unlit
Finally....Cake cutting session

Thank you fellow mates!

2nd session - Dinner at AMK Melben seafood......The legendary long waiting queue...However we got a table in less then 30 mins!!! But we still required to wait for 1.5 hours for the food to be served.

So first dish - Deep Fried Buns!!!!
They transform into a "shou tau" for me
Crabs are finally here!!!! Crabby bee-hoon!!!! Butter cream crab and chili crab!

There are still other food, however I'm busy enjoying my crabs and did not shoot any photos!

After dinner, we went to bottle tree park trying to catch the result of the election, however it was showing the matches instead, so we end up with discussions of the elections...lol

Ended the day after drinks at Bottle Tree Park, though it was not so exciting as compared to the previous years, but with great friends around, it made the day worthwhile!

Received the pretty charm from bff!!! Nice ley....so me!!!!

And finally......my new toy!!!! A lappy for myself co-sponsored by fellow mates and colleagues!!!!
The box...too nice to be discarded! heeeez
Lappy specs: Intel core i5, Windows 7 home premium, 14" LED

The J key (Ok...I know is no big deal! : p)

I'm loving it!!!!

Though I bought this lappy, but there are still so many things in my shopping list that I need to get!!! Oh no....should I get it now or later? I think I need to handcuff my hands for now or maybe throw all my cards away.....What should I do..... torture.... = (

Ok..Good night! I decided to sleep it away! Stop thinking it!!!

To be continued....
